Eagan Memorial Fire Station #91, Tracy

This 7,000 square foot fire station is a response to a residential construction boom prior to 2007. The program includes a two-story apparatus bay for up to four vehicles.  The staff facility is separated from the apparatus bay by a tower stairway which functions as a communications antenna tower and stairway/fire-pole access.   The style of the building is a contemporary take on a fin de siècle style, reminiscent of historic buildings that dot the San Joaquin County landscape.  The site is a difficult, small, but ultimately successful usable triangle-shaped plan.
