Sandia National Laboratory is known as a science and technology center which is continually interested in improving its facilities. The auditorium widely used by the lab community to house events and symposiums is in need of critical upgrades to continue its use. Studies and reports were created to realize this important space for future use.

The architecture centered around maintaining the industrial vernacular but allowed for exposing the internal structure for more natural light and in turning creating dynamic spaces. Critical code issues were also addressed such as seismic, accessibility and information technology.
